The first thing people look for in personal homepages is photographs. I don't know why but that's just the way it is. Mine's on the right of this text, so that's out of the way and I can get on with the rest. If you bothered with coming to my personal homepage you either are someone who already knows me, or you are someone who doesn't know me already and does not really want to hear my life story in detail, so I'll keep it short. I was born in Milan, Italy, and lived in several Italian towns, including Salerno, Livorno, Caserta and Turin. In 1987 I moved to the UK, just in time to attend University (first at the University of Southampton, then at UCL). There, in 1991, I met my life partner, Mat. I stayed in UK (not counting a short stint in Barcelona, Spain) after getting my pieces of paper from college and got myself a job in IT. After some career development I started my own IT Consulting company, Sybilla Consulting Ltd. There, that wasn't too painful, was it?

Me in a Formula Ford car at Silverstone Things I do

If you take a look at the picture on the left, it is quite obvious that I enjoy motorsport. In particular I have been a Formula 1 fan since a very early age (my family is from Monza after all...). I am the creator and maintainer of the popular Formula 1 fan site FedeF1. In the picture on the left, however, I am in a Formula Ford car at Silverstone. I still have not found anybody foolish enough to leave me alone with a Formula 1 car for long enough for me to try it out. What a shame. I also occasionally indulge in go-karting, but I haven't got any decent pictures of myself in a kart, so you'll have to just take my word for it. I also tried microlighting, but that's another story. Recently I bought a mountain bike and take advantage of it every fair weather day I get. Sadly, there aren't many of those in this country. On the more artistic side, I sometimes make glass mosaics. It's hard work but quite relaxing. When it's rainy and windy and cold outside (which often is), nothing can beat a good book with a cup of hot chocolate.

My Travels

Recently I decided that it was time for me to go travelling a bit, before I start a family and have to settle down and start behaving. Having explored Europe and touched Africa in my teens and twenties (now I'm saying a bit too much about my age), I set my sights across the Oceans. In 1999 Mat and I toured the United States, visiting San Francisco, gambling in Las Vegas (we came out on top!), having our breath taken away at the Grand Canyon, eating Gumbo in New Orleans and seeing lots of tall buildings in New York. Hurricane Floyd timed it perfectly to stop us from going to Boston, that was meant to be the last destination of our US trip. In 2000 we set off in the opposite direction and went to Australia, reef diving in Port Douglas, seeing the sunrise at Ayers Rock (no, I didn't have the guts to try the Bush Tucker) and bridge climbing in Sydney. What's next? I'm not sure, but South America and Japan are high on my list.
